Qualify as a Domestic Energy Assessor and produce EPCs for existing homes. Five classroom days in Runcorn including five live EPC visits, with certificates issued the following week.
Energy Assessors wishing to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for existing homes will need to gain the Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment. This will allow them to be accredited as Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs). All homes now require an EPC when sold or rented to a new tenant. Engage Training Academy run weekly DEA / PAS2035 Retrofit Assessor courses in our Runcorn training academy.
During the week candidates will accompany us on five live EPC visits, allowing us to survey various detachments, ages, Room In Roof, flats, extensions, alternative walls, conservatories and so on to meet the qualification standards. The portfolio is built during this time.
Certificates will be issued the following week, as we have direct claims status with ABBE. The course includes full training in the RdSAP methodology used to assess existing homes, through ECMK's government-approved Assessor Hub software to produce the EPC.
